We are SD members and the wellbeing of people around us makes our joy.
It is said that if the mountain does not come to you, you go to the mountain. What we S.D members are trying to extract from this saying is that, we pray to God to enlighten our moves and present to us all those who need our help.
The orphanage by name Notre Dame Du Pilier De La Paix situated in Yaounde was the orphanage the Lord led us to in December 2016.
It is a Catholic mission owned, and managed by Rev sister Marie, who is also assisted by a few humble volunteers every now and then.
Our visit in December 2016 started with a warm welcome message by the oldest girl at the orphanage, roughly about 16 years of age. After her beautiful speech, we gladly took part in a series of praise and worships songs . In addition to that, a series of games was organized in which we SD members and the children took part.
Immediately after that, we presented to them the gifts which we brought for them, some of which were school materials, food items and mattresses. Later on, one of the children proposed to pray for our visit.
During the time spent with the children, we learned more about the orphanage, including the fact that, they were once attacked and Rev Marie was seriously injured.
Reaching at the end of the visit, a closing prayer was pronounced by Mme Marie and on our way out, the kids gave us their blessings which was a complement to our joy.
One thing that surely unite members of the association by name Significant Deeds, is the smile we succeed in putting on the faces of the people we visit .
