It was a sunny Saturday afternoon when we (Significant deeds) visited the FONKO orphanage at Acacia. The kids and teens where so happy to see us and we were warmly welcomed.  They all displayed their various talents in singing, dancing and several recitations. The care taker of the orphanage gave us a rundown of their daily activities and the major difficulties they encounter.

One of us spoke on our behalf and presented the gifts we had for them which were mostly school needs and basic food stuffs.  We (Significant
deeds) were opportune to have a look at their surroundings and bed rooms and we found them extremely tidy and neat. We had lots of fun with the kids and teens getting to know each other, we played games, danced and took pictures. On our return some of the kids especially the very small ones were feeling sad because they did not want us to leave but unfortunately we had to.

A simple gesture of love can go a long way to touch a heart in need. Why don’t you join us in our next donation come December and you would certainly be blessed.
